                    'Farming Initiative' project in Kayunga Uganda is now in progress!!

                    The Hope for Children Development Group's Farming Initiative Project is among the project selected to be Seedlings of Change Bread for soul mini grants recipient in Africa and it is due to start in August 2010. The photographs are showing the space where we intend to construct a shade for the animals and birds bordering this space is the school garden of Banana and Cassava. The Children, Parents, and Teachers have helped in the clearing of this ground as you see in the pictures.

                    This Farming Initiative project is necessary for children in a way that they will be able to gain the Farming Education skills and knowledge. Also this project will function to meet the following needs for the children and the community at large.
                    - Supplement on food supplies for the children in terms of cassava, potatoes, eggs, milk and meat.
                    - Supplement School revenue from the earnings of the surplus products
                    - It will be a center for farm training to the local peasant community
                    - The project will also become a component of diversification of normal school operation.
