                    "Bread for the Soul," mini-grants

                    IVERSITY ― Creatively explore new ways of living in harmony with each other and the natural world. Celebrate the innerconnectedness of all life.



                    Introduction:
                     The "BREAD FOR THE SOUL" mini- grant program  support individual and/or group projects who are taking action to promote change for the public and in doing so bring their community together.  These intentionally small grants are designed to stimulate grassroots involvement. *Typical grants are approximately $500.00.

                    Those Eligible:
                    The “Bread for the Soul” mini-grant program awards grants to projects. The “Bread for the Soul” mini-grant program will consider proposals from ordinary people, community groups, and organizations whose interests are consistent with the goals of the Program. The Program will not consider grant proposals for retroactive funding of projects already completed.


                    Types of projects eligible:
                    Seedlings of Change will award mini-grants for projects that address areas of Global Consciousness | Holistic Living | Self-Empowerment | Sustainability

                    Seedlings of Change mini-grants program community service teaches:
                    * The value of helping others.
                    * Receive recognition for their efforts.
                    * Build self-esteem from the positive results of their service.
                    * Leadership, communication, organizational skills and a sense of empowerment.
                    * Importance of connection between subject matter and life in the community.

                    Types of projects not eligible:  a) projects identified with political parties of any kind;
                    b) projects sponsored by a for profit organization; c) organizations that practice discrimination of any kind; d) general contributions to capital campaigns; e) operating deficits or retirement of debt;
                    f) endowment programs; and g) construction projects or real estate acquisitions.
